The Principal
Building the firm
In 2012 Pavel Iliev founded Iliev Capital Partners, and co-founded Three Keys Capital Advisors in New York with former UBS colleagues, growing it to a team of senior professionals across two continents that has advised on some forty transactions.
Today
Iliev Capital Partners has since advised on private capital raises for growth companies including Carta, Thrasio and Trax, and collaborates with specialist advisory firms internationally.
Iliev Capital Partners is built on one person's work and relationships. Over twenty-five years, Pavel Iliev has practised corporate finance and investment banking - first within some of the world's leading institutions, and since 2012 as the founder of his own firm.
Foundations
Pavel began his career in corporate finance at PwC and Ernst & Young, in business valuation, real estate and transaction advisory.
Investment banking
He then spent a decade in front-line investment banking - at ING, Citigroup and, as a Director, UBS Investment Bank - executing across debt and equity capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, ratings advisory and independent valuations, and working on more than fifty completed transactions.
Capital markets in industry
As Vice-President for Strategy and Capital Markets at an international industrial group, he led its debut US$350 million bond issue, which was significantly oversubscribed.
Wealth management mandate
As part of a 2 year full time mandate Pavel Iliev worked at UBS, in its wealth management division in Zurich, working closely with every relevant part of the bank before turning back to his own firm full time. The results of the mandate was a CHF 300m incread of net new money for the Bank's Ultra High Net Worth department.
Education and languages
He holds a specialist degree in finance and economics, and works in English, French, Russian, Bulgarian and Greek.
